In May 2021, the Dubai government sponsored the prestigious AIBC Dubai summit in the strong show of support. The Dubai government welcomed the AIBC Dubai to ‘one of the safest countries in the world’ and expressed their strong support, saying that they welcomed the event and issued the AIBC UAE – Dubai Summit with a permit for its upcoming conference.
The Dubai government endorsed AIBC in an official letter, and the government spoke of their delight that the AIBC Summit had chosen Dubai as host city for the super show, saying that Dubai was ‘located within one of the safest countries in the world and with unrivalled connectivity to all corners of the globe.’ They went on to say that Dubai was an ideal destination for the AIBC event, and that it was a location where ‘you will find all the infrastructure, expertise, and support your organization requires’.
Gary Vaynerchuk, known as Gary Vee, the legendary entrepreneur and marketing guru, is joining SiGMA – World’s iGaming Festival as a keynote speaker at the SiGMA Eurasia Summit 2023, 13-16 MARCH 2023!

SiGMA ASIA – Dubai was SiGMA’s first event for 2022, the 3-day summit took place in Dubai, SiGMA, alongside AGS and AIBC witnessed the best in business to a first-class meeting point at the Intercontinental Festival Arena, Dubai Festival City. The conferences topics were aimed at gathering of professional academics with industry experts, and researchers from the sectors of gaming and affiliation. Existing flaws and difficulties in business were brought to light for mutual improvement. The attendees witnessed cutting-edge debates and innovative thought leadership discussions and gained valuable knowledge during a full agenda of conferences and workshops, with well-known faces on the speaker circuit including Laura Inamedinova, Alex Vavilov, Darius Kunca, and Irina Heaver. AIBC Asia had over 9000 delegates, speakers, investors and entrepreneurs registered and populated the expo floor and panel stage with some of the leading figures in the emerging tech space.
With top speakers such as Ben Goertzel, Lars Rinnan, and Dr Marwan Al Zarouni, the AIBC, GameFi, and SiGMA-AGS stages were well attended, with seats completely packed, delegates were seen standing and eager to learn, brimming with activities and tech conversations.. The stages were also situated throughout the expo this year. Delegates were easily able to attend panels across different verticals – such as GameFi and Blockchain.
Alongside live Esports Tournament, premier networking opportunities and various iGathering Dinners, there were icononic awards which were held during the AIBC UAE 2022, The AIBC Dubai Awards night, the The Asia Awards also featured an art auction, SiGMA Asia Gaming awards – the most prestigious awards in the gaming industry and the IDARE Gala Dinner, which witnessed the luminaries of the industry for an evening of recognition and celebration of achievement, attracting a guest list of over 300 esteemed individuals to its inaugural debut.
The AIBC Summit is first and foremost a community of technologists, visionaries, entrepreneurs, investors and innovators. Therefore, the AIBC Stage platform, witnessed some of the most important path breaking discussions in the macrocosm that is the nascent but revolutionary industry of deep tech, very knowledgeable and insightful.
Involving brilliant minds such as Ben Goerztel, Lars Rinnan, Loretta Joseph, Dr. Jane Thomason and many many more, the many panels of the event covered vital aspects of this emerging industry such as the role of Blockchain in the developing of a sustainable economy, how Regulation can be adapted for a decentralized world, the UAE’s place in world beyond the Fourth Industrial Revolution, how Artificial Intelligence can empower instead of dominate the human race and so much more.
SiGMA Group events may work as a catalyst for different verticals to learn from one another and generate more business by fostering cross-pollination, he has said emphatically. Emerging technology and gaming may be brought together through the SiGMA Fund and Accelerator, for example. The fund assembled an experienced group of consultants and investors to help new businesses get off to a flying start.

AIBC’s most high-profile speakers was Akon, a Senegalese-American R&B singer, also Co-Founder and chairman of Akoin, a digital currency designed to empower African entrepreneurs and citizens. Akon also felt the amazing energy in Dubai and was delighted to be a part of the AIBC vibe.
“I love the event. The AIBC’s been doing some great stuff. I’ve been here for a couple of shows, this is our first one in Dubai that I’ve been a part of,” he shared.
“The energy here, it has been amazing. The group of people coming together here has been really vibrant and open and collaborative. I think it’s going to grow and become bigger,” Akon said.
“This is the standard of what I want Africa to feel like in the next 10, 15 years,” he added.
Akon’s philanthropy covered everything from education to renewable energy, his philanthropic and entrepreneurial efforts had touched several different sectors in countries such as Kenya, Capo Verde, Liberia and many many more. However, his flagship product has always been Akon City. This fully renewable Blockchain-integrated city would serve as both a metropole for Senegalese investment as well as a template for further progress in the region and beyond.
The star and philanthropist himself had much to say about the future of the continent as a whole.
I always believed that blockchain was going to save Africa. Unfortunately, the infrastructure that was built just never was sustainable enough for it to grow. Then unfortunately, because of all of the conflicts, there was a lot of corruption. So I always felt that blockchain will completely erase that.
Akon’s vision for Africa’s future sees renewable energy and the power of blockchain come up with new innovative ways to ease navigating the necessities of day-to-day life.
Using renewable energy, the power of blockchain, and IoT, best time to come up with new innovative ways to have seamless living of flows from Akon’s vision. Akon is seeing a future that is coming to life. What’s astounding is that this vision can be used not just for Africa but the rest of the world. Akon joined the AIBC stage this morning sharing more of his plans and innovative thoughts during the summit.
He explains how he’s doing his best to shape Africa and give individuals there a better future. “Akon city is a fully renewable blockchain integrated city and what we want and hope is to be the staggered of all the living in the rest of the continent.”
The AIBC Dubai Awards night, was brought to you by the Ruby Family Foundation, and My Liquidity Partner, kicked off with a masterful display from Cross the Ages, with costumed warriors from the game performing a skilled display of swordplay to the rhythmic beat of drums as they made their way through the crowd.
Guests arrived to the soulful sounds of a saxophone for networking drinks before heading to the Al Baraha ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel Dubai Festival City for the luxurious gala event – an evening which forms part of the AIBC Asia expo.
The AIBC Awards Night provided the best and brightest of the emerging industry with a stage and spotlight to celebrate their achievements. From the VC of the year to project with the most significant social impact, the Awards kept delegates on the edge of their seats and awarded the movers and shakers edging the industry towards mass adoption.
Ending on a very humanitarian note, the Charity Auction saw the crowded room bid over a series of three art pieces with the proceeds going towards the SiGMA Group’s charitable arm, the SiGMA Foundation. With even the highest echelons of Dubai’s society participating, the auction saw €31,500 being raised towards charitable causes with the Foundation having an active presence in the Developing World.
First up was The bitskull of Mrs Mary Crawley by NFT artist Gnomevil, which sold for 11,000 Euro. The skull of Mrs. Crawley is part of the Bitskull collection that contains five pieces in total. This collection represents skulls of the wealthiest fictional characters and what they represent, feeding on bitcoins. Like all Gnomevil artworks, it has a small squid emoji hidden somewhere in the piece as the authentication and signature of the author.
Next up was an oil painting – Nano, by Derek Mason – an artist who has exhibited several times at the AIBC Awards.
Derek’s first private exhibition in 2016 was a runaway success with over a third of the selected works finding their way into private collections on and off the island, including 2 pieces from Malta Week’s auction in 2021 which are currently physically displayed in the Burj Khalifa as well as in a metaverse-based office. Nano eventually went for 13 thousand euros after several last minute bids.
The last item was the graffiti style piece by Red and Zoow24, which was bought for 7,500 Euro by Adnan Al Noorani, The Chairman of the Board of The Private Office of Sheikh Saqer Bin Mohamed Al Qasimi.

The auctioned items were:
Derek Mason’s Nano(cellulose) which sold for 13 thousand dollars.
The Bitskull of Mary Crawley NFT by Gnonevil which sold for 11 thousand dollars.
Finally, Look Over by Red and Zoow24 sold for 7.5 thousand dollars.
Pitting some of the most innovative and passionate projects in the emerging crypto-space against each other, the AIBC Pitch saw pioneering entrepreneurs compete for the grand prize of up to $500,000 dollars worth of equity investment as well as a suite of other benefits.
While the sheer potential of a number of these projects was beyond palatable, Hussain Nikkar from NSAtech took home the grand prize through his pioneering combination of frontier tech and sports.
Elaborating on his win, Nikkar stated that;
I’m really excited to be here, it’s a really good atmosphere. I would like to thank the AIBC team for choosing me as the winner. I have met many new people and made so many new connections here, this event was amazing.
We are not in competition with other companies. We would love to make close connections leading up to friendships because we know and understand that in this market when you connect and combine as in partnership with a good network, you can easily improve and promote yourself. We are looking forward to this.
Taking the stages and Awards by storm with a mixture of costumed warriors, live displays and deep discussions on the past, present and future of the gaming industry, Cross the Ages’ first debut at AIBC was a stunning success. Through the perfect balance between showmanship and industry insight, the CTA team left their mark on the GameFi and Emerging Tech community as a whole.
At the nexus of DeFi, NFTs and the gaming industry, GameFi has been taking the emerging tech world by storm, attracting the best talent from the orthodox gaming world and creating new and innovative business models such as Play-to-Earn (P2E.)
Always at the bleeding edge of innovation, GameFi had a solid presence when it came to the AIBC Summit as a whole. This included an exclusive Pitch contest sponsored by Seedify and a stage for the best and brightest of the sector to illustrate its future moving forward.
Coming ahead of the pack when it came to the Pitch, DeepMine’s brilliant artwork and dark, brooding atmosphere took home the grand prize as the Sci-Fi Metaverse strategy game of the future. In a surprising turn of events, their presentation impressed the panel of judges so much that Bijan Alizadeh, founder of Cypher Capital and judge, broke ranks to offer $200,000 of personal investment on top of the $500,000 equity investment provided by the prize.
The stage hosted pioneers within the Metaverse such as Dr. Kim Nevelsteen, Frank Fitzgerald, Niko De Jonghe and more who elaborated on the exciting future that the next generation of digital networks had.
